On Friday 5 April 2024 Mauritian Students of Forest Side Academy and Lycee de la Providence, St Malo in France were able to talk to each other via the QO-100 satellite. This project was initiated 6 months prior by the MARS project team; Jean Marc 3B8DU, Vikram 3B8HJ, Francois 3B8HI and Patrice 3B8FA. In Mauritius the ground station was located at Jean Marc’s 3B8DU QTH and equipment redundancy was provided by a portable QO-100 installed by Francois 3B8HI and Patrice 3B8FA. The students were able to enjoy a Q&A sessions via QO-100 satellite. Ujo 3B8HL (Awards Coordinator) will prepare Achievement Certificates to be remitted to the students.
